The music ministry at First Presbyterian helps bring glory  to God and beauty to our worship.

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

Colossians 3:16

The Music Ministry has the distinct privilege of leading the congregation as they worship God and praise him in song.

The Chancel Choir is the major vocal ensemble of our church.  Comprised of singers who enjoy singing in a choir, membership comes from all segments of the church population and represents a wide variety of talents and experiences.  The Choir is the regular vocal ensemble for Sunday worship service and other major worship opportunities.  During Advent, the choir presents a major religious choral work.

The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm to 8:45pm in the Choir Room, adjacent to the Sanctuary.  They sing nearly every Sunday in the 11:00am worship service with warmup at 10:30am in the Sanctuary Choir loft.

We welcome all singers, high school age through adult.  If you enjoy singing in a choir and like having fun with a great group of folks, then this is the place for you.  No audition is required.  If you are looking to join the choir, come a few minutes early, on Wednesday evening, and we will get you set up with music and a robe.
